Modern day, Mostly, Dumb Lazy Attorneys if not for their paralegals they would not even be able to practice law. What they are hired to do versus what footwork they require the client to do.
Their fees they figure out how to get half of a settlement that the client has no recourse of accounting.
They know you're not going find another attorney if they resign. Especially not the poor and indigent.
Because of their pack association and networks, no matter what state they are from rarely lawyers sue lawyers no matter how unethical and easy to prove. They will chalk it up to "you win some you lose some".
It's hard to find a fair attorney passionate for justice.
